Vendor Guidelines
Please note: Vendor booths are available for
Saturday- Sunday, March 26-27, 2011 only
Deadline for early bird discount: Friday, December 31, 2010.

Vendor Guidelines
Objectives
The objective of vendor booths is to showcase various
aspects of Indian culture such as traditional crafts, clothing, decoration
articles, imitation and precious jewelry, ethnic audio/video products,
cultural cuisine, etc. Items for sale at these booths should have their
origin in the South Asian region. Please note that non-profit and business information
booths are not permitted to sell any articles.

Booth Size and Location
- Single booths are provided two 8'x3' tables in an L shape. Most booths will have a black backdrop.
- Double booths are provided four tables.

Depending upon availability, booths are either located on the main floor or at the entrance.
- The main floor is oval shaped and all booths have complete view of all activities on the main floor. Please visit the State Fairgrounds website to learn more about the venue.
Booth Setup
- All booths must be setup on Saturday morning. Access to the building is provided by 6:00 AM.
- Your vehicle, if any, must leave the main floor by 8:30 AM.
- Your booth must be ready by 11:00 AM on Saturday and should be staffed at all times.

A limited number of booths are available in each category and offered to the general public on a first come first served basis. Full payment must be received before your spot can
be reserved.

Fee for all types of booths is fixed. To obtain the
$100 discount, payment must be received before the early deadline. The discount does not apply to Non-profit booths.

No additional fee/commission is taken from gross
sales. All profits go to the individual vendor.

Traditional crafts booth is available
for crafts, clothing, imitation jewelry, and ethnic audio video products
only. These products must have their origin in the South Asian region.

Business Advertising and Info Distribution
booth is available for providing information about your business to
attendees. These booths are not allowed to sell any items. These are
great booths for advertising your business at India Fest. Please
note that these booths are only available to local small businesses.
If you represent a business with annual sales of over $1,000,000
US Dollars, please explore our sponsorship options.

Non-profit information booths are
available for tax-exempt non-profit organizations whose primary mission is to assist people in distress. Please note that usually religious, cultural or educational mission will not qualify for this booth. A copy of your IRS determination letter may be requested to be eligible to receive
this rate. Your booth will be set outside the main floor of the Dorton arena. These booths are not permitted to
sell any items or accept donation during the festival unless explicitly approved by Nuv Yug in advance.

Cultural Cuisine and Precious Jewelry
vendors are provided three tables each.

Cultural Cuisine vendors are required to pass food
safety inspection as per Wake County Rules and Regulation. If a vendor fails to pass inspection, the vendor will not be permitted to sell any item and no refund will be given.
- To ensure public safety with food served at India Fest, we accept Cultural Cuisine booth applications from local restaurants only who have experience in complying with food safety requirements of Wake County (or another neighboring county).
- IMPORTANT: All Cultural Cuisine vendors are also required to accept up to 25 coupons for combo plates with a drink from Nuv Yug volunteers at no charge. Vendors should only accept authorized coupons. Any overage will be reimbursed to the vendor.

If a vendor needs additional tables or utilities
such as power or phone lines, they are responsible for the additional
setup cost.

If your application has been accepted, you will
be notified within 2 weeks. If you do not hear from us, please contact
us to obtain status of your application. In case your application
is not approved, then the application will be returned to you along
with your payment.

After your application has been accepted,
no refunds will be made for withdrawal from the event.

Nuv Yug reserves the right to refuse participation
by anyone without specifying a reason.

India Fest is funded in part by the City of Raleigh

by United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County, with funds from the
United Arts campaign and the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency
funded by the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for
the Arts.
